UK CHALLENGE CHRISTMAS SPRINTS
on Saturday 18th December 2004
(LEVEL 3 Licence L3S242)

We hope everyone had a good meet and a safe journey home. Any queries or comments especially regarding the Pre-Seeding of the meet would be welcome, especially a spectators point of view.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of our officials especially our lead referee Jane Evans, as without officials you have no meet. Thanks also to all the Hatfield helpers on the entry desk, awards table, warm-up marshals, swimmers stewards (great team work getting the swimmers to the blocks), my backroom team of John George for in-putting the entries and helping run the meet and my son Christopher again for running the electronic timing and scoreboard pictures. To Teresa George for the half time refreshments (most appreciated), Barbara Scorer for organising the awards and prizes, also liaising with the University. And finally to our commentators Jeff Weinstein and Nick Juba (also for liaising with the university).

Finally at the meet we said farewell to one of our top swimmers, Triple Paralympian Gold Medallist Jody Cundy who is off to Swansea (why Swansea? But our club president thinks its OK as he is from Swansea). We would like to thank Jody for his commitment and help at Hatfield over the past 7 years and wish him all the best for the future, thank you Jody.
A Merry Christmas to you all
Mark Hisgrove
